NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin was selected as one of two universities to host the consolation rounds of the Preseason Women's National Invitational Tournament announced by the WNIT committee.

SFA (0-1) and Loyola were announced as host sites following the completion of the opening round. The Ladyjacks will host Georgia State, North Carolina A&T and Stetson, while the Greyhounds will accommodate Idaho, Mount St. Mary's and Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne Nov. 15-16.

"We are extremely excited to host three talented, well-coached teams this weekend," head women's basketball coach Brandon Schneider said. "Two are NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago and all three teams are expected to compete for their respective league titles this season. We are hopeful both the SFA student body and the Nacogdoches community will strongly support this event, as this is an opportunity to gain national exposure for both the university and Ladyjack basketball."

Georgia State will play North Carolina A&T in the opening game Friday, Nov. 15 at 5:00 p.m., with SFA and Stetson to follow in the 7:00 p.m. matchup. The losers of those games will play each other on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 4:00 p.m., while the winners will face off at 6:00 p.m. All matches will be played inside William R. Johnson Coliseum.

The Ladyjacks are 2-0 against the three-team field, with both meetings coming against Georgia State. SFA won 83-74 during the 1981-82 season and 61-56 most recently back in 2004-05. The meeting with Stetson will be the first for Ladyjacks in program history.
