    NACOGDOCHES, Texas –
    The Stephen F. Austin women’s basketball team hits the road again this weekend to take on the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks at 2 p.m. Sunday. Both teams are coming off road losses to opponents from power conferences, and the Ladyjacks are looking to hand ULM its from home loss of the season.

    Ladyjacks Overcome Slow Start, Win Season Opener
    Junior Kali Jerrell scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks to a season-opening 80-55 victory over Louisiana-Monroe Friday night at the William R. Johnson Coliseum.

    SFA (3-5) fell on the road to TCU on Wednesday night and hopes to bounce back against ULM (2-3). The Ladyjacks defeated the Warhawks 80-55 last season and have won five straight against ULM, with their last loss in the series coming in 2005.

    Tierany Henderson was the top Ladyjacks last time out for SFA as she posted a double-double at TCU with 17 points and 13 rebounds.

    ULM’s top player is coming off her best game of the season with 34 points at Ole Miss on Nov. 26 to go along with 10 rebounds. It marked the first time since the 1997-98 season that a ULM player scored 30 or more points.
