No. 9 Ladyjacks sit in first place at Tulane Invitational.

New Orleans, La - The No. 9 Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks opened up the season Friday at the Tulane Invitational at AMF All-Star Lanes. SFA currently sits in first place out of 11 teams following a 4-1 record in Baker play on day one.
SFA defeated No. 6 Sam Houston 774-748 to open the day. Their next match was no less impressive, as the Ladyjacks then went on to beat Alabama A&M 742-694. Another win came from SFA against Jackson State University, 748-717. The Ladyjacks continued their winning streak with their highest set at 877 to Alabama State's 737.
SFA ended competition with their only loss for the day to Texas Southern University 774-811, who sits in 2nd place.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action on Saturday when they begin the five-person team matches beginning at 11:45 a.m.
