Ladyjacks in Second Place After Day Two

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The No. 9 Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks bowling team had another impressive day at the Tulane Invitational on Saturday, going 3-1 as a team in match play.
SFA defeated Florida A&M (1077-970) in their opening game. The Ladyjacks dropped their only game of the day in match two by the slimmest of margins, falling to Bethune-Cookman (990-895).
SFA quickly bounced back in their following two matches. Taking wins from Louisiana Tech (937-884) and Prairie View A&M (1014-896) to close out the day.
Sophomore Melanie Crawford tied for a team best in match one, bowling a 225 verse Florida A&M. Crawford is 11th overall individually, knocking down 1004 total pins (200.8 avg). Freshman Paige Kraushaar tied Crawford with a team high 225 in match five verse Prairie View A&M. Kraushaar sits eighth overall with a total pinfall of 819 (204.75 avg).
The Ladyjacks sit in second place heading into tomorrow’s final day. SFA will look to take the top spot with a strong performance beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday.
