Parkhurst was one of five selections to the All-Academic first team, marking the first time in SFA program history a bowler has earned a spot on a team other than honorable mention. A second team All-American, Parkhurst closed out her Ladyjack career with a strong showing as a senior, helping lead SFA to a pair of tournament titles and a ninth-place finish in the 2013-14 poll.
Parkhurst was joined by sophomore Melanie Crawford, who was named a second team All-Academic selection. Six other Ladyjacks were named honorable mention selections, including seniors Sierra Gibbons and Whitney McCoy, juniors Amanda Boethel and Chelsea King, and freshmen Kiara Grant and Paige Kraushaar.
To qualify for the NTCA All-Academic team, student-athletes had to achieve a minimum of a 3.40 grade point average during the 2013-14 academic season. In all, 165 student-athletes from 35 schools were recognized with SFA's eight selections ranking among the top of all institutions.
