The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team is currently 12 among the 17-team field at the Claud Jacobs Invitational presented by SCOR. SFA fired a 337 in Sunday's opening round of competition, and was on the back nine when the play was suspended due to darkness. The Ladyjacks will close out the second round, and open the final round of the invitational beginning Monday morning.
Chelsea Simmons led SFA by carding an 86 on the Victoria Country Club's 5,936-yard, par-70 course. She has the team's lowest score in the second round only three-over par through 12 holes. Simmons is currently tied for 35th overall.
Sara Jones recorded the team's second lowest round Sunday morning with an 86, and is currently tied for 45th overall at 20-over. Aliece Anderson is tied for 52nd overall just a stroke back of Jones. Anderson had recorded the team's strongest opening round with a 79.
Junior Allison Flake carded a 19-over par 89 in the opening round, but has rallied in the second improving by nine strokes. She is currently tied for 67th overall at 27 over par with teammate Rose Henderson.
SFA returns to the course Monday morning at 8:30 to close out the Claud Jacobs Invitational.
