    Ladyjacks Improve on Second Day

    BLANCO, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team improved upon its opening-round score by seven strokes Tuesday morning at the Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco, Texas. The Ladyjacks are currently eighth overall, only five strokes behind McNeese State, heading into Wednesday's final round of action.

    Sophomore Aliece Anderson recorded the team's lowest round to move up from the team's fifth spot to the second-lowest score with a second-round three over par. Anderson enters the final round tied for 32nd with a 91-75 - 166. Junior Chelsea Simmons has been the team's most consistent player through two rounds posting an 83-77 - 160. She is currently tied for 25th overall.

    Junior Allison Flake struggled in the second round firing an 89, and is currently 35th overall (81-89 - 170). Sophomores Sara Jones and Rose Henderson are mirror images of one another carding identical rounds of 87-90 - 177, to place tied for 38th overall.

    SFA returns to the course Wednesday at 8 a.m. for the final round of action at the 2012 Southland Conference Championships.
