The Ladyjacks finished T-8 after day one of ORU Shootout.

TULSA, Okla. - The Stephen F. Austin women's golf team fired a 311 in the opening round of the ORU Shootout Monday morning in Tulsa, Okla. The Ladyjacks missed their morning mark by one stroke finishing with a 312 during Monday's second round. SFA will enter the final round play Tuesday in 8th place out of 18 teams.
The Ladyjacks were once again led by underclassmen during the opening rounds of play. Sydney Reed fired the team's low scores of the day to finish with a share of 19th. Reed opened the day with a nine-over par 80, but stormed back in the afternoon to best her score by seven shots and card a two-over 73. Freshman Jessica White fired a 157 (77-80) on the day to finish tied for 38th.
Freshman Piper Kyle recorded back-to-back 79's to finish at 158 (T-42). Senior Aliece Anderson opened the day with a 75, but closed with an 84 to finish at 159 (T-47).
In her debut as a Ladyjack, freshman Ann Holcomb (T-74) fired a second round 80 to best her morning score by five strokes.
The Ladyjacks finished the day with five rounds in the 70's, while once again having just two rounds over 80. SFA will close out the final round of action Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
