NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Clear Creek High School standout, Amanda Mire, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her education and play golf at Stephen F. Austin announced head coach Trey Schroeder.

"Amanda is another strong addition to our team," said Schroeder. "She is an extremely talented and accomplished golfer that will come in and make an immediate impact on the program. She has an incredible work ethic and a drive to win that will move this program towards a conference championship."

A two-time team captain, Mire garnered 23-5A All-District honors all four years of her career, and advanced to the region championships every season. The two-time team MVP, Mire capped a strong junior campaign by advancing to the 5A state championships.

Mire is just as successful in the classroom as she is on the court. Graduating Summa Cum Laude, Mire is a four-time Academic All-State selection who has been named to a Superintendent Scholar Athlete three times during her career.
