SFA Wins SLC Women's All-Sports Trophy

FRISCO, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks performed well across the board in the 2013-14 academic year to pick up the 2013-14 Southland Conference Women's All-Sports Champion trophy.
The women recorded 101.5 points, to hold off Central Arkansas (96.0) and pick up their second trophy in the last four years.
Soccer and women's basketball each won its regular season title, with the basketball team tying for the crown. Track and field finished runner-up in both the indoor and outdoor seasons to bolster SFA's standing, and the cross country team finished third in its respective season to give SFA five top three finishes in the league this year.
The SLC Men's and Women's All-Sports trophies are awarded annually for men's and women's competition based on a 14-point system for all conference sports. Point values are tallied based on finish in the regular season Regular season champions receive 14 points and descending down to only one point awarded for last place. Points are awarded for the team trophy standings regardless of the number of teams competing in the championship.
