NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Erica Lautensack has signed a national letter of intent to play golf, and continue her education at Stephen F. Austin head golf coach Trey Schroeder announced Thursday afternoon.
The Arlington, Texas, native comes to SFA ranked 108th nationally in the class of 2014. Lautensack brings a standout resume to Nacogdoches having won five of six invitational events during her junior season. The three-time district champion finished third at the 2013 Regional Championships, carding rounds of 72 and 74 to qualify for the 2013 State Championship as an individual.
Lautensack won the 2013 Fort Worth Girl’s City Championship by 15 strokes, carding rounds of 70, 75, and 74. She carries a career low round of 64.
A well-rounded student-athlete, Lautensack has excelled in the classroom. The three-time district champion is a member of the National Honor society, Key Club and Varsity Orchestra.
