NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Jessica White has signed a national letter of intent to play golf, and continue her education at Stephen F. Austin head coach Trey Schroeder announced Tuesday afternoon.

"Jessica is a very competitive young lady," said Schroeder. "She had a highly touted junior career which will translate into success at this level. One of her greatest strengths is her level of consistency. She just steps on the course and goes out and gets the job done."

The Mansfield, Texas, native comes to SFA ranked as the No. 211 golfer in the class of 2013, and ranked 583rd in nation. White brings an impressive résumé with her to Nacogdoches having recorded several impressive finishes at the junior level. She shot even par to finish second overall at the Granbury Girl's Fall Classic. She followed that up with runner-up finishes at the 2012 TJGT Tour 18 Championship and the 2012 Fort Worth Girls City Junior Championship.

A well-rounded student-athlete, White is also a success in the classroom as well. A second-team all-region selection, White garnered Academic All-State honors last season.
