NACOGDOCHES, Texas - One day after being rained out, the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks soccer team showed little to no rust in a critical 5-0 victory over new Southland Conference foe Oral Roberts Monday afternoon at the SFA Soccer Field.

SFA (9-3-0, 2-0-0) got big offensive performances from both senior midfielder Kylie Louw and sophomore forward Zuri Prince, both of which scored two goals apiece along with another goal from senior forward Laura Sadler. Louw, who added five more points to her team's season-best total of 18, is now just three points shy of tying the SFA all-time mark held by Amanda Alders (91).

While winning their 20th consecutive home match over the past three seasons, the Ladyjacks outshot the Golden Eagles by a margin of 21-2 and 13-2 shots on goal. Junior goalkeeper Lacey Lee had to make just two saves while moving her personal record to 7-2-0.

"I was very pleased with our overall effort in what we considered a big game," SFA head coach Tony Amato. "The girls knew the importance of this weekend and deserved the result."

The SFA scoring spree began in just the eighth minute of the match when Prince took a cross from Christie Hinojosa and was able to hit the back of the net for an early 1-0 lead. Less than two minutes later Louw scored her fourth goal of the season on a blast from nearly 20 yards out off a feed from Prince, beating ORU goalkeeper Helen Erb.

Then in the 39th minute, the Ladyjacks added a bit of cushion heading into intermission on Louw's second goal of the afternoon and the 25th of her prestigious career. Junior Brenda Salazar was credited with the assist, setting up Louw again from long-distance.

In the second half Prince put the game away with her second goal of the match and fifth of the year on an unassisted goal from 15-yards out, capping off a spectacular five-point afternoon. SFA added one last goal in the 83rd minute when Sadler took a pass from Dallas Brown and blasted a shot from nearly 30-yards out for her fourth goal of the year and 24th of her career.

The Ladyjacks will now have three days off before they start a two-game road trip, beginning Friday in Conway, Arkansas against UCA at 4 p.m. SFA will then play Northwestern State Sunday in Natchitoches, Louisiana at 1 p.m.
