NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Six different players scored goals and the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks allowed zero shots on goal in a dominant 6-0 victory over Central Arkansas Friday evening at the SFA Soccer Complex, marking the sixth straight win for SFA.

SFA (8-2-1, 3-0-0) outshot UCA 30-2 overall and 14-0 shots on goal en route to the team's seventh shutout of the season.

"Tonight was a good performance overall," SFA head coach Tony Amato said. "We talked about completing some passes and combining it in around the box and we did that and that led to some goals for us. Defensively, we wanted to limit goal scoring chances for them and lock it down in the back and the majority of the night the defense sparked our attack."

The Ladyjacks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute following a goal from Laura Sadler, scoring on Chelsea Raymond's fourth assist of the season. The score was Sadler's fifth goal of the year and the 17th of her career.

SFA would add another goal nine minutes before intermission on Melissa Gaudet's first goal of 2011, a booming kick from 35 yards away that sailed past UCA goalkeeper Kelsey Gochnauer. Zuri Prince was credited with her first assists of her career on the goal, the first of two on the night.

The Ladyjacks wasted no time putting the game away in the early moments of the second half, scoring in the 53th minute on a strike from Janae Lee on a beautiful feed from Brenda Salazar inside the box to make the score 3-0.

Prince then scored the second goal of her young career in the 60th minute from a good 20 yards out to make the score 4-0 and force UCA to pull their keeper. Freshman Christie Hinojosa would tack on another goal in the 71st minute on Prince's second assist of the game followed by Megan Wasiak's second goal of the year in the 78th minute, off a perfect open field pass from Jayne Jahnke, making the final score of 6-0.

UCA (5-6-1, 1-2-0) has now not beaten SFA in five straight matches dating back to their series-opening victory in 2006.

The Ladyjacks will shoot for their seventh straight win this Sunday when they play host to Northwestern State at 1 p.m. at the SFA Soccer Complex.
