    NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack soccer coach Lance Noble has announced the hiring of Nicole Nelson as the new assistant soccer coach.

    Nelson comes to SFA from Oklahoma City University (NAIA) where she was a graduate assistant for two years. During 1985 Nelson served as the head coach of the European Tour Team which ended the season 14-0. Nelson holds a USSF "D" license from the Oklahoma State Soccer Association.

    She played at Texas A&M University for one year and then transferred to Oklahoma City University to play for three years. She earned several all-conference and all-regional honors. Nelson clinched NAIA Academic All-American honors during her tenure as a student-athlete.

    "Nicole will be a tremendous asset to the SFA soccer program. She is a very hard worker and expects no less from her student-athletes. I am very pleased and lucky to have her as an assistant coach on my staff. We will benefit tremendously from her presence," said Lance Noble.
