Morris Added To 2013 Signing Class
April 29, 2013
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin head soccer coach Wally Crittenden announced Navarro transfer forward Jodian Morris as the 10th and final addition to the 2013 signing class Monday afternoon.
Morris, a sophomore native of St. Catherine, Jamaica, scored 30 goals over her two years at Navarro and is a member of the Jamaican U-20 National Team for whom she has competed with regularly.
Morris caught the eye of Crittenden and the SFA coaching staff during a spring scrimmage against Navarro earlier this month.
"Jodian is a very special player," Crittenden said. "When we competed against her this spring, it was clear that her creativity and dynamic play would fit in very well with the schemes we have layered into our program over the last couple of months. Her ability to engage her teammates both on and off the ball allowed her to make a significant impact against us and we are all looking forward to seeing that same energy work with us as we prepare for competition this fall. With Jodi as our final addition to our 2013 class, we are now ready to focus on the task at hand which is developing leaders and a team chemistry that will help put us in a position to be successful every time we play.”
