NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Now that the school year is over, and before we begin the 2013-14 academic year, SFA athletics wanted to take a look back at the Top 25 Moments from the 2012-13 season.

No. 16

En route to their third Southland Conference Tournament title in school history, the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks (17-4) began their trip in Lake Charles with a monumental 2-1 victory over Oral Roberts on Nov. 2, 2012 in the semifinals for their 16th victory of the season.

With the victory, the Ladyjacks surpassed the previous single-season record of 15 wins set by the 2011 and 2003 squads.

SFA took an early 1-0 lead in the 11th minute when sophomore forward Zuri Prince Zuri led Chelsea Raymond with an open field pass and the sophomore forward was able to beat ORU goalkeeper Helen Erb to the ball and chip in a shot from 15 yards away. The goal was Raymond's team-leading 12th of the season and Prince's fourth assist.

The Ladyjacks increased their lead to 2-0 in the 36th minute when senior midfielder Kylie Louw was able to get free in the ORU box before dishing out her 13th assist of the season to senior forward Laura Sadler, who was easily able to beat ORU backup goalkeeper Maddie Rhodes to her right.

Sadler, who had been named the SLC Offensive Player of the Week the previous two occasions, scored her fifth goal in her last three contests.

The Golden Eagles responded with a goal of their own in the 51st minute when ORU senior defender Lauren Parks was able to sneak one past SFA goalkeeper Lacey Lee on a deflected ball in front of the net, cutting the SFA lead to 2-1.

However, the Ladyjacks defense shut the door over the final 39 minutes to move on to the title game. SFA outshot ORU 16-4 and 7-2 SOG.

The Ladyjacks would go on to defeat Lamar, 2-1 in the SLC title game and advanced to the NCAA Tournament where they nearly pulled off an upset of No. 15 Texas A&M but fell, 1-0.
