SFA Soccer Opens 2004 Season Friday Night

NACOGDOCHES - The 2003 Southland Conference Tournament Champion SFA Ladyjack soccer team will kick off the 2004 season Friday night in the Purple/White game. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., from the SFA Intramural Complex. The Ladyjacks return 17 letterwinners and all11 starters from a 2003 team that went 15-5-2 on their way to their first-ever berth in the NCAA Championships. SFA set school records for wins (15) and shutouts (9) on their way to the title last season and are one of the preseason favorites to win the title in 2004 with the return of 10 All-SLC players, led by 2003 first-team selection Kim Gray. The Ladyjacks open up the 2004 regular season Friday Aug. 27 when they host Arkansas State. The game against the Lady Indians will begin at 7 p.m., from the SFA Intramural Complex. -SFA-
