NACOGDOCHES, Texas -The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks (5-2-0) are now a fourth of the way through the 2012 campaign and have battled through some tough circumstances to put up a solid non-conference schedule. On Friday against Texas State, SFA will be playing already their sixth non-conference road contest of the season, with one more remaining at Baylor (9/23/12).

Last Time Out: Chelsea Raymond broke open a 0-0 game with a game-winning goal in the 82nd minute to help SFA down Rice 1-0 Friday evening at the SFA Soccer Field. The victory over Rice marked the first time in school history the Ladyjacks defeated the Owls in six total attempts. The home match was the Ladyjacks first in their last five games and the first since the season-opener against Houston on Aug. 17.

Texas State Series History/Scouting Report: It's safe to say the veteran Ladyjacks may have had this match circled on their calendar to start the season. Last year, after a sensational 9-0 record in SLC play, the Ladyjacks were denied a trip to the NCAA Tournament when they fell to Texas State, 1-0 in the tournament championship. Texas State leads the all-time series 11-8-2 and have beaten SFA in three of the past five meetings. SFA defeated Texas State 1-0 in the regular season last year on a Kylie Louw goal in the final minute of the match.

Ladyjacks Remain 7th in NSCAA Central Poll: The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks remained ranked No. 7 in the newest NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Women's Central Poll on Tuesday, repeating their spot from last week. SFA (5-2-0) is coming off a week in which they went toe-to-toe with LSU before falling 2-1 and a dramatic 1-0 victory over Rice on Friday.

Louw A National Leader: Senior midfielder Kylie Louw currently is tied with East Tennessee State's Sarah Zadrazil as the nation's assists leader with seven.  Louw, who is the SFA all-time leader in assists (35), is also tied for assists per game (1.0) with three other players.

Raymond Off To Blazing Start: Sophomore forward Chelsea Raymond has picked up right where she left off in 2011, leading the team with six goals and 13 points and is 18th in the country in goal scored.. The Irving, Texas native has scored a goal in four consecutive games, including the game-winner against Rice in the 82nd minute. Raymond is already fourth all-time in school history with 24 career goals, just five behind Shain Pabani (29) for third all-time.

Defense Getting It Done: The Ladyjacks have allowed just three goals combined in their first seven games, the fewest of any team in the Southland Conference thus far. Matter of fact, the two goals the Ladyjacks allowed against LSU were the most SFA has allowed in their previous 20 games dating back to last season. SFA has allowed more than two goals in a game only once in the Tony Amato era, coming against Rice in a 3-1 loss on 8/22/10.

Louw Breaks Assist Record: Senior midfielder Kylie Louw collected six total points (4 assists, 1 goal) and set the SFA all-time, single-game assists record in SFA's 8-0 win at Jackson State on 8/19.

Home Is Where The Wins Are: SFA holds an all-time record of 90-36-12 in home games, but that mark is even better at the current venue. Since moving from Homer Bryce Stadium to the SFA Soccer Complex for the 2003 season, the Ladyjacks are 59-9-5 in home contests. Against Southland Conference foes, SFA is a very tough 34-4-3 at the Soccer Complex.

Nine Wins: With their win over Northwestern State on 10/9/11, SFA clinched yet another season with at least nine wins and another winning season. It marked the ninth consecutive season for the Ladyjacks to pick up at least nine victories and was the program's eighth straight winning season. The last time an SFA squad failed to reach the nine-win plateau was 2002, also the last time the Ladyjacks posted a losing season (7-9-4).

Title Town: The SFA women's soccer program has brought an unprecedented six Southland Conference regular-season championships back to Nacogdoches. That total is nearly half of the 14 possible regular-season titles in SLC Soccer history.
