Zuri Prince and Megan Dunnigan were named the SLC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively on Tuesday.

FRISCO, Texas - For a second consecutive week, two members of the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks soccer team were recognized for their efforts by the Southland Conference. Junior forward Zuri Prince took home SLC Offensive Player of the Week honors while junior defender Megan Dunnigan was named the SLC Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
SFA (5-1-1) is coming off a 4-0 statement victory over LSU last Friday in Nacogdoches. Prince scored the game-winning goal in the eighth minute in one of the biggest regular-season victories in school history. The Beaumont, Texas (Kelly H.S.) played 70 minutes for the Ladyjacks and made her one shot on goal count. The goal was Prince's team-leading third of the season and her team-high sixth and seventh points.
Dunnigan was part of the Ladyjacks' backline that shutdown the LSU offense, limiting the Tigers to just three shots on goal en route to a 4-0 shutout. The junior from Round Rock, Texas (Vista Ridge H.S.), played all 90 minutes for the seventh consecutive match and helped SFA record its fifth shutout of the season.
The Ladyjacks will next begin Southland Conference action this weekend for a two-game homestand, beginning wtih Oral Roberts Friday at 7 p.m. followed by Northwestern State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
