NSCAA Central Regional Rankings
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Following a 4-0 start in Southland Conference play the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks soccer team is ranked No. 8 in the Central Region, according to a release Tuesday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The Ladyjacks are the lone team from the SLC to be ranked in the Central Region.
In its first four games in conference play, SFA (11-3-0, 4-0-0) has recorded four shutouts and sits alone in first place in the league standings. The Ladyjacks are coming off a 2-0 week, beating both Central Arkansas and Northwestern State on the road.
In the Central Region, Baylor is the top-ranked team followed by West Virginia (2nd), UCF (3rd), Kansas (4th), Texas Tech (5th), Memphis (6th) and Oklahoma State (7th). Colorado College, Rice and East Carolina are all tied for 9th.
SFA will play just one match this week, traveling to Lake Charles, La. to take on McNeese State at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14.
