CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks dropped their fourth straight game on Sunday, a 6-3 loss to Central Michigan to close the Under Armour Invitational with a 1-4 overall record.

SFA (5-13) sophomore transfer catcher Shalie Day continued to swing a hot bat in the losing effort, going 2-for-3 on Sunday and connecting on her first career home run, a solo shot in the fourth inning to tie the game.

The Chippewas (6-4) broke open a 2-2 tie with a combined four runs over the fourth and fifth innings off SFA starting pitcher Angela White, who fell to 0-9 on the season by allowing six earned runs on six hits over five innings.

Central Michigan's Cory DeLamielleure broke the game open in the bottom of the fourth inning with a two-run home run off White to left field that gave the Chippewas the lead for good. UCM's Trista Cox added two insurance runs in the fifth inning with a two-run double to left that pushed the Chippewas lead to 6-2.

SFA junior shortstop Elizabeth Arana had an RBI double in the sixth but the Ladyjacks could not push across anymore runs in the frame.

The game on Sunday was SFA's 18th and final consecutive game away from Nacogdoches. SFA will finally have their home opener on Wednesday, March 6 when they host Louisiana Tech at 4 p.m. Following that contest the Ladyjacks will open up Southland Conference play March 9-10 at Central Arkansas.
