CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks dropped both ends of a doubleheader on Saturday at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a pair of tight games. The losses dropped SFA to 7-8 in conference play.

With the game tied 1-1 in the fourth inning of the second game, the Islanders loaded the bases with no outs before a single by Lindsey Lyles plated two runs to put TAMUCC (9-30, 5-11) back on top and provide the cushion needed for the victory.
In game one, SFA had opportunities to score but left 10 runners on base. After scoring in the fourth, the Ladyjacks left the bases loaded and stranded two runners in the fifth and sixth innings.
Katelyn Standley hit 2-for-4 in the first game to lead SFA at the plate. The team’s five hits in game two were spread among five different players.
