The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks dropped Saturday's Southland Conference doubleheader to Texas-Arlington at Hoya Field, 7-2 and 2-0. The losses pushed SFA's overall record to 15-26 and their SLC mark to 5-15.
In Game 1, freshman catcher Kim Daley was 2-of-3 and Carrie Woydziak, Crystal Dahlquist, Lee Lara, Tara Hersey, and Julie Morse each collected a hit. Woydziak and Dahlquist scored the two runs.
Senior pitcher Traci Moore made the start for the Ladyjacks, pitching 6.0 innings and giving up 11 hits while only striking out one. She took the loss to send her record to 7-9 on the season.
In the second half of the twin bill, pitcher Nicole Carter collected two hits while Woydiak had one.
Carter, who made the start in the pitcher's circle, pitched a complete game to take her 11th loss of the season. She gave up two runs on five hits while striking out six.
The Ladyjacks and Lady Mavs will close out the series on Sunday beginning at noon from Hoya Field.
