    NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Just two days after falling 9-0 to the undefeated and No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies, the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks softball team will return to College Station on Wednesday for a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. 

    SFA (4-7) just wrapped up play at the Aggie Classic, going 2-3 overall which included victories over Pittsburgh and No. 23 North Carolina. Ladyjacks head coach Gay McNutt, a former Texas A&M softball player herself, earned her 500th career victory with the win over the Tar Heels.

    No. 10 Aggies Beat SFA, 9-0 In 5
    The No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies remained undefeated on the season and used the long ball to their advantage to defeat the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks 9-0 Sunday afternoon in five innings in the finale of the Aggie Classic.

    The Ladyjacks have been led offensively by junior shortstop Elizabeth Arana, who is batting a team-best .296 on the season and leads the club with seven RBI's. Arana was also named to the Aggie Classic All-Tournament Team last week. In the circle junior Carlie Thomas has posted a 2.56 ERA while going 4-2 with four complete games. The Huntington, Texas native has 39 strikeouts and only 12 walks in 38.2 innings of work.

    Texas A&M (10-0) has outscored their opponents 70-16 on the season and are batting .359 as a team. The Aggies have hit 21 home runs, including a team-best seven from Nicole Morgan. The Woodlands, Texas native first baseman also has a team-best 19 RBI and leads the Aggies with a .500 batting average. The Aggies have been superb in the circle as well, posting a 0.98 team ERA led by Mel Dumezich (0.70).

    Wednesday's doubleheader can be seen on aggieathletics.com with a one day pass price of $9.95. Following Wednesday the Ladyjacks will have eight days off before traveling to Florida for the Under Armour Invitational (Mar. 1-3).
