NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Following two consecutive rainouts, the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks softball team will finally hit the diamond again on Friday when they host Nicholls State at 4:30 p.m. in the first of a two-game series that wraps up on Saturday.

Sophomore first baseman Elizabeth Arana has been a major bright spot offensively for SFA. Arana leads the team in batting average (.339), hits (21), doubles (7), homeruns (3), RBI (14) and slugging% (.597).
Nicholls State (4-18, 0-2) has had a rough go of it this season and have lost seven consecutive games coming into Friday, including two losses to Sam Houston State to start conference play. Senior third baseman Ashley Ray leads the Colonels with a .435 batting average, 11 runs, 27 hits, five homeruns and 19 RBI.
