Jacks Softball Camp

June 9, 2008

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Gay McNutt's Jacks Softball Camp summer circuit is set to kick off Tuesday with the first session of Elite Jacks Camp. The camps will continue on June 17 with the second Elite Jacks session and conclude on June 24 with the Junior Jacks Camp.

Tuesday's session will focus on defense with specific instruction tailored for pitchers, catchers and position players. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Next week's Elite Jacks Camp session will center around offense with hitting instruction headed up by SFA assistant coach Craig Snider. Both Elite Jacks Camps are for players between the ages of 14 and 18.

With the deadline for early registration past, the on-site registration cost for either camp is $100. Campers wishing to sign up for both sessions can do so before Tuesday's defensive camp at a discounted total cost of $170.

The Junior Jacks Camp will run from noon to 6 p.m. on June 24. The camp is for players ages 6 to 13 and has a $55 on-site registration fee. The Junior Jacks Camp will cover skills instruction in all facets of the game.

The Jacks Softball Camps will cover all phases of softball, regardless of skill level, and allow the necessary repetition time to see improvement in every skill. The camps will include competitive drills and games that are fun and motivating.

For information, download the camp brochure by clicking here, or contact assistant coach Craig Snider by phone at (936) 468-4464.
