    FORT WORTH, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Friday, with losses to TCU and Ole Miss, at the TCU Nike/Molten Invitational at the University Recreation Center.

    Both losses break ties in the all-time series against each university.

    Jill Ivy led the SFA attack, recording 23 combined kills between the two matches.

    The Ladyjacks (6-4) will take on Grambling and Houston on the final day of the tournament. SFA squares off with the Tigers at 10:00 a.m. and the Cougars at 5:00 p.m.

    TCU 3, SFA 1

    Ivy recorded 14 kills, as the Ladyjacks fell 3-1 (17-25, 19-25, 25-20, 16-25) to TCU (5-3) in the tournament opener for both teams.

    The loss moves the Horned Frogs ahead 4-3 in the all-time series and represents the first meeting between the two teams since 2002.

    Kaitlyn Granger just missed double-figure kills, finishing with nine. Paige Holland recorded 35 assists and OJ finished with 21 digs.

    The defensive front of Justice Walker and Leslie Jackson recorded five blocks apiece, as SFA recorded 10 blocks as a team.

    After falling behind 2-0 at the break, SFA responded five kills apiece from Ivy and Walker and four from Granger to extend the match to a fourth set.

    SFA was unable to force their fifth consecutive five-set match, falling 25-16 in the fourth match.

    Ole Miss 3, SFA 0

    Ivy once again led the Ladyjacks in kills, recording nine, in a 3-0 (18-25, 17-25, 15-25) loss to Ole Miss (6-2). The loss is the first meeting between these two teams since 1994.

    SFA was held to .159 clip verse the Rebels' .352 mark. Ole Miss had three players in double-figure across the three sets.

    Facing another 2-0 deficit, the Ladyjacks were unable to force another forth set in the nightcap. SFA fell 15-25 in the third set.
