
Pair of SFA Vaulters Finish Within Top-10 at NCAA National Championships

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Youth was served at the NCAA National Championship meet over the weekend, as a pair of freshmen pole vaulters represented "Pole Vault U" with Top-10 finishes. Nastassja Campbell notched a seventh place finish in the women's competition, while classmate Branson Ellis finished ninth in the men's competition on Friday.
Campbell leapt to a height of 4.26m (13-11.75) on the day, moving up two spots from her preliminary seeding to take seventh overall. By virtue of finishing within the top eight, Campbell earns NCAA All-American First Team honors in her first trip to the NCAA Championships.
Ellis set the tone on day one for SFA, leaping past his seeding of 16 to finish ninth with a personal best of 5.58m (18-3.75). Ellis also earned First Team All-American honors with his efforts.
