
Robinson’s Rundown Earns Silver Medal for Lumberjack Relay at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, OR - Auhmad Robinson's flair for the dramatic was on full display on Friday night in Eugene, as the sensational freshman's exemplary anchor leg sealed a second-place finish in the men's 4x400 relay at the NCAA Championship meet. Robinson's split of 43.45 was the second fastest split in NCAA meet history, and moved SFA from roughly fifth place into a podium finish, capping off a record setting time for the Lumberjack mile relay.
Robinson and his relay teammates Muzuri Mattar, Paul Martin and Jeremiah Curry ran a 3:01.52 overall, obliterating the program record in the event and putting SFA Track and Field firmly in the national spotlight. The four also earned All-American status thanks to their performance at the meet.
SFA secured another eight points in the team standings thanks to the silver medal finish, giving them 18 points overall at the meet and a 13th place finish.
