Marcus Clark, a junior from Marshall, has been named to the 2005 All-Southland Conference second team in a vote of conference head coaches and sports information directors. Clark entered the 2004-05 season as a preseason second team pick after picking up honorable mention All-SLC honors last season as a sophomore.
Clark led the lumberjacks in scoring as a junior, finishing the year with a 13.0 points per game average. He led the team in scoring in 11 different games and set a new career high with a season high 29 points against Nicholls State. Clark scored 20 or more points nine times during the season.
The 5-10 junior also chalked up 104 assists on the season and is now in fourth place on the all-time assists list at SFA with 317 career assists and needs just four more to pass Robert Clark and move into fourth place on the all-time list. He can take over the top spot next season with 66 assists.
